Have you ever thought you’d like to have a go at performing on stage either with a bit of acting, maybe a few lines of a song or a couple of nifty little dance steps? Or perhaps you’re not keen on being in the limelight but would like to turn your hand to making or painting some scenery, or helping find some interesting props? How about dusting off your sewing machine to help make beautiful costumes or threading a needle and hand-sewing some of the more individual pieces? Now could be your chance to have a go – no previous experience necessary!

Waterside Theatre Company (formerly Esso Music and Drama Group) has been treading the boards of amateur theatres for 60 years. We are looking for new people to join the company to start us towards the next 60 years! To celebrate our special anniversary we are in the process of creating a spectacular show “Lights, Camera, Entertainment” to be performed in February 2010. It will include plenty of music – Swing, Music from the Movies, Girl Power – as well as original sketches, dancing toys….and a suggestion of diamonds throughout.
